Located on Japan's northernmost island, Hokkaido is famous for consistent snowfall, wide-open terrain, incredible food, and a winter culture built around life in the snow. It's a place where mornings begin with fresh tracks, afternoons end in natural hot springs, and evenings are spent sharing stories over steaming bowls of ramen or fresh local seafood.
This small-group adventure is designed for skiers and snowboarders who want more than just lift tickets and hotel reservations. You'll travel with a fluent Japanese-speaking guide who handles the logistics while helping you experience the culture, food, and hidden corners of Japan that many visitors miss.
Our home base sits in the shadow of Mt. Yōtei, often called the "Mt. Fuji of Hokkaido." From there we'll explore Niseko, Rusutsu, and other nearby opportunities depending on conditions, group interests, and snowfall. Every day is designed to maximize the experience rather than follow a rigid schedule.

Sample Itinerary
Day 1 – Welcome to Hokkaido
Arrive at New Chitose Airport and begin your journey into Japan's northern frontier. After settling into accommodations, we'll gather for an optional welcome dinner and begin getting acquainted with the region, the trip, and each other.
Day 2 – Into Snow Country
After breakfast, we'll transfer to our home base near Mt. Yōtei. Once settled, we'll head out for our first turns in the famous Hokkaido snow. Consider this a warm-up day to shake off the travel and get a feel for the terrain.
Day 3 – Powder Hunting
With a full day ahead of us, we'll explore the area's world-renowned ski terrain. Exact destinations may vary depending on conditions, but the goal remains the same: maximize time on snow and find the best skiing available.
Day 4 – Explore or Elevate
Depending on weather and snow conditions, today may include additional resort skiing or optional heli-skiing opportunities for guests looking to experience Hokkaido's backcountry from a new perspective.
Day 5 – Across the Valley
We'll continue our exploration of the region, potentially venturing between resorts and chasing whichever conditions look most promising. Flexibility is one of the greatest advantages of traveling in a small group.
Day 6 – Rest, Recharge, and Explore
Even powder hunters need a recovery day.
Today we'll slow the pace and experience another side of Hokkaido through natural hot springs, local villages, regional food, and cultural experiences. It's an opportunity to rest tired legs while gaining a deeper appreciation for the area.
Day 7 – Back to the Mountains
Refreshed and recharged, we'll return to the slopes with several days of local knowledge under our belts. By now we'll know where to find the best terrain, the shortest lift lines, and perhaps a few favorite restaurants as well.
Day 8 – Final Powder Day
One final opportunity to experience the snow that made Hokkaido famous. We'll spend the day making the most of the conditions and soaking in every last run before returning to civilization.
Day 9 – Return to Sapporo
We'll head back to Sapporo and exchange mountain scenery for city lights. The evening is yours to enjoy one final celebration of the journey, whether that's exploring the city, finding one last great meal, or reflecting on the memories made throughout the week.
Day 10 – Departure
After breakfast, we'll make our way to the airport for the journey home.
You'll leave with more than just photos and souvenirs—you'll leave with a deeper understanding of Japan, unforgettable memories, and a new appreciation for life in snow country.
